وَٱلسَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ ٱلْبُرُوجِ

Was-samaa'i dhaa-til-burooj

By the sky containing great stars

وَٱلْيَوْمِ ٱلْمَوْعُودِ

Wal-yawmil-maw'ood

And by the promised Day

وَشَاهِدٍۢ وَمَشْهُودٍۢ

Wa shaahidin wa mashhood

And by the witness and what is witnessed

قُتِلَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْأُخْدُودِ

Qutila ashaabul-ukhdood

Cursed were the people of the trench

ٱلنَّارِ ذَاتِ ٱلْوَقُودِ

An-naari dhaatil-waqood

The fire full of fuel

إِذْ هُمْ عَلَيْهَا قُعُودٌۭ

Idh hum 'alayhaa qu'ood

When they were sitting over it

وَهُمْ عَلَىٰ مَا يَفْعَلُونَ بِٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ شُهُودٌۭ

Wa hum 'alaa maa yaf'aloona bilmu'mineena shuhhood

And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses

وَمَا نَقَمُوا۟ مِنْهُمْ إِلَّآ أَن يُؤْمِنُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْعَزِيزِ ٱلْحَمِيدِ

Wa maa naqamoo minhum illaa an yu'minoo billaahil-'azeezil-hameed

And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy

ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍۢ شَهِيدٌ

Alladhee lahu mulkus-samaawaati wal-ard wallaahu 'alaa kulli shay'in shaheed

To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah is Witness over all things

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ فَتَنُوا۟ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَتُوبُوا۟ فَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابُ ٱلْحَرِيقِ

Innal-ladheena fatanool-mu'mineena wal-mu'minaati thumma lam yatoobu falahum 'adhabu jahannama wa lahum 'adhaabul-hareeq

Indeed those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of burning fire

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتٌۭ تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَـٰرُ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلْفَوْزُ ٱلْكَبِيرُ

Innal-ladheena aamanoo wa 'amiloos-saalihaati lahum jannaatun tajree min tahtihal-anhaar dhaalikal-fawzul-kabeer

Indeed those who have believed and done righteous deeds will have gardens beneath which rivers flow — that is the great attainment

إِنَّ بَطْشَ رَبِّكَ لَشَدِيدٌ

Inna batsha rabbika lashadeed

Indeed the vengeance of your Lord is severe

إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ يُبْدِئُ وَيُعِيدُ

Innahu huwa yubdi'u wa yu'eed

Indeed it is He who originates and repeats

وَهُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلْوَدُودُ

Wa huwal-ghafooroul-wadood

And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate

ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ ٱلْمَجِيدُ

Dhul-'arshil-majeed

Honorable Owner of the Throne

فَعَّالٌۭ لِّمَا يُرِيدُ

Fa''aalun limaa yureed

Doer of what He intends

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلْجُنُودِ

Hal ataaka hadeetul-junood

Has there reached you the story of the soldiers

فِرْعَوْنَ وَثَمُودَ

Fir'awna wa thamood

Of Pharaoh and Thamud?

بَلِ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ فِى تَكْذِيبٍۢ

Balil-ladheena kafaroo fee takdheeb

But those who disbelieve are in persistent denial

وَٱللَّهُ مِن وَرَآئِهِم مُّحِيطٌۢ

Wallaahu min waraa'ihim muheeт

While Allah encompasses them from behind

بَلْ هُوَ قُرْءَانٌۭ مَّجِيدٌۭ

Bal huwa qur'aanun majeed

But this is an honored Quran

فِى لَوْحٍۢ مَّحْفُوظٍۭ

Fee lawhin mahfoodh

In a Preserved Tablet
